Welcome to Currumbin Community Special School. We are a Queensland State School providing a quality education for Queensland students with a diagnosed intellectual disability and possible secondary impairments including hearing, vision, physical and Autism Spectrum disorders. We accept enrolments for students from prep to year 12 age who meet eligibility for enrolment.
Our school vision is “Working together, learning for life”. We value working cooperatively as a whole school community to support our students. We believe “it takes a village to raise a child” and "a community to run a school" and everyone has an important role to play in supporting learning and development.
Our school is a modern purpose-built special school. We focus on individualising the Australian Curriculum for each student and providing opportunities to apply learning in multiple environments. We have well-trained, experienced staff who are passionate about their work and making a difference to the education of students with disabilities.
