Community Liaison Officer
Currumbin Community Special School has a Community Liaison Officer (CLO) who works two days per week. The CLO’s key role is to support families in sourcing information, wellbeing and inter-agency supports for the child and or family.
Speech therapy, occupational therapy and physiotherapy
Currumbin Community Special School is supported through visiting Department of Education, Training and Employment employed therapists. This service is based on a referral from teacher application process and student access is prioritised according to need for safety, wellbeing and educational engagement. Private therapists can work with students at school. This needs to be negotiated through the Principal.
Currumbin Community Special School has a Guidance Officer who works 1.5 days per week. The Guidance Officer’s key roles include assessment and verification reviews of students and support to students in care of the state.
